Yes, either a Facility Membership or a Program Membership is required to register for programs.
A Program Membership provides access to specific program activities, such as swim lessons and swim teams. For general use of the Aquatic Center and Salinas Family YMCA facilities, a Facility Membership is needed.
Family Memberships cover two adults and children under 18 residing in your household.
Yes! We believe everyone should belong at the Y. Financial assistance is available for families in need. Prospective members can apply to see if they qualify. Our Annual Campaign funds these scholarships, ensuring no one is turned away due to inability to pay.
Yes, all swimmers must wear swimsuits in the water. Workout wear and street clothes are not allowed.
Yes, memberships can be placed on hold for one month. For holds longer than a month, a doctor’s note is required.
Cancellations must be made in person with a minimum of 30 days’ written notice before the next payment date.
Swim Lessons
We offer swim lessons for all ages, starting at six months old.
Parents are required to join the water only for Water Discovery or Water Exploration classes.
We don’t offer make-up classes for absences. Credits for missed classes may be provided with a doctor’s note.
Yes, the pool is kept at a comfortable 82–83 degree.
Yes. Visit the front desk for availability or to join the private lesson waitlist.
Rentals
Yes, either a Facility Membership or a Program Membership is required for pool rentals.
Yes, food is allowed, but open flames, alcohol, and glass are prohibited.
Yes, but we ask that all pool toys be new to prevent bacteria or water imbalances.
Chairs are available. For larger parties, we recommend bringing additional tables and chairs if needed.
