About the River Run

The River Run is a one-of-a-kind annual community event, started in 2019, that brings families, friends, and runners together for a day of movement, connection, and impact!

Hosted at the Graniterock Southside Sand & Gravel Quarry, this unique experience takes participants through a working quarry alongside the scenic banks of the San Benito River, offering views and access you won’t find anywhere else.

Whether you’re running, walking, or cheering others on, every step supports the YMCA of San Benito County and the programs that strengthen our community.

Run for a Cause

The River Run is more than a race, it’s an opportunity to give back. Each year, this event raises funds that directly support individuals, and families in San Benito County, helping expand access to youth programs, health and wellness opportunities, and financial assistance for those in need. Because of community support and partners like Graniterock, the River Run continues to grow and make a lasting impact.
